外籍教师--Regina M Stockus

BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
  Regina M. Stockus was born to Lithuanian parents and was raised and educated in Canada. She moved to China in 2001 after living in Beijing for one year. In November of 2002 she moved to Huizhou City where she currently lives and where she has lived for the past 7 years.
  “Huizhou is my second home. There are many beautiful cities in China but after all is said and done, Huizhou is the nicest and most comfortable city to work live and play.”
  
After graduating from The University of Western Ontario with a degree in Business Administration she also received a second business degree from Ryerson Polytechnical University. In 1986 she also graduated from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada receiving her Certificate in Management Sales and Marketing. In 1989 she graduated from The American Hotel Lodging Association Educational Institute, receiving her Certificate in Hotel Sales In 1998 she graduated from The American Hotel Association Educational Institute in their Food Safety Training Program. In 2001 she graduated from The American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute with a special certificate called Train the Trainer Certificate Program as Qualified Food Safety Instructor.
  ACHIEVEMENTS AND MILESTONES:
  1994 -1997 while living in Toronto Canada she was appointed Executive Director of The Baltic Business Council under the direction of The Department of External Affairs Canada guiding and training hotels in emerging countries such as Russia and Lativa and Estonia and Lithuania on how to promote and develop their Tourism Industries.
  In 1996 she was invited as a special speaker and addressed The Canadian Government Leaders in the House of Commons on “The Potential for Economic Growth via Tourism Development in
  Emerging Markets”.
  When she arrived in Huizhou she worked for Raffles Business College here in Huizhou and has also worked for a few private corporate training companies. From May of 2005 until July of 2007 she was appointed Senior Executive Director of Kande International Hotel. She has also done extensive corporate training for large companies such as Siemens VDO, Desay, TCL, Lenovo and Merix corporations. In 2006 she self published two novels, currently she is completing her 3rd book “ A Tourism Guide For Huizhou City”.
  She has traveled extensively to over 30 countries.
  In 2008 she collaborated on a Film Documentary that was aired in CCTV Beijing regarding the local Hakka culture. This documentary won first prize in 2008 Documentary Film Competition in Guangzhou.
  For Regina; Huizhou remains a focal point in her life. She hopes to live here a long time.
  The prospect of the development of Huizhou City as a Key Tourism Destination in China is very promising and she hopes to continue and develop her career here as long as possible along side her esteemed colleagues at Huizhou University.
